Pampanga Congressman Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. has filed House Bill No. 5125, calling for the creation of National and Provincial Autism Centers across the country. These centers aim to provide free diagnosis, therapy, and rehabilitation services, along with vocational training, employment support for individuals with autism, and counseling and referral services for families.
At the provincial level, the centers will also focus on early detection and intervention for children under five years old, working closely with barangays to conduct screenings, educate parents, and deliver early therapy programs.
Lazatin has requested that the measure be included among the priority bills of the 20th Congress to help ensure its swift approval.
