A $406-million floating solar project is set to rise in Pampanga and Negros Occidental through a partnership between SunAsia Energy and Vietnam-based VinEnergo.
Expected to launch between 2027 and 2028, the 422 MWp Solar on Water project will be among the Philippines’ first large-scale floating solar developments. It is projected to power over 278,000 homes annually while reducing carbon emissions by nearly 461,000 tons per year, supporting clean energy, sustainability, and community development.
